Every great move of God has followed a pattern.
Heaven’s authority, working through you, multiplied by teaching and developing others, until the whole world wakes up to Jesus.
Read it like real math. Each letter lights up as you reach it. P and Y both multiply everything, so if either one is zero, the whole thing is zero.
If P or Y is zero, the answer is zero. Without heaven’s authority, nothing moves. Without someone willing to go, nothing moves either, no matter how good the teaching. “…apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (ESV)
It starts with God, not our plans.
Awakening moves on heaven’s authority, given by Jesus to those He sends. Everything else in the formula rides on this.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore…” Matthew 28:18–19 (ESV)
God still moves through ordinary people.
Fishermen, tax collectors, a youth group, a guy in a truck. Awakening waits on someone willing to say yes.
“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19 (ESV)
Feelings fade. Truth holds.
Nobody notices the decking under the shingles, but if it’s rotten, nothing on top will hold. Teaching is the decking.
“…teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:20 (ESV)
That’s how it outlives us.
Raise up people who will carry it further than we ever could. Jesus planned all along for His followers to do even greater works.
“…whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do…” John 14:12 (ESV)
If one follower of Jesus reaches and develops one other person every six months, and each of them does the same, the number doubles twice a year.
For ten years it looks like almost nothing is happening. Then it reaches the world.
